How to set up competitor monitoring on maps

Put competitor points under observation across four maps and get signals on changes — rating, reviews, new and closed points.

What you get

Competitor points (and your own, if you like) under observation across four maps, with signals on changes — a rating drop, new reviews, new points appearing and existing ones closing — plus a history for reports.

When it helps

  • You need to track competitors’ expansion and reputation.
  • A chain of branches — you need to notice changes to your points and theirs in time.
  • Regular reports on the competitive environment.

How to do it

  1. Collect competitor points for the district or niche from four maps (see collecting from maps).
  2. Add them to monitoring — CrawlRover will track changes over time across Google, Apple, Yandex and 2GIS.
  3. Set up signals — get an alert when the rating changes, new reviews arrive, or a point appears/disappears.
  4. Review the change history and export a slice into a report when needed.

Monitoring is available on the free plan already: three points, change history and a daily check. The Monitoring plan raises this to 50 points and adds email alerts and hourly checks.

Frame

CrawlRover observes over publicly visible map data — it does not publish to maps or reply to reviews. This is recon and monitoring, not presence management.
